Speaking to Sky Sports' Patrick Davison after the game, we saw a spiky Klopp as he demanded to know the interviewer's take on the spot-kick before laughing ironically when it was suggested that, by the rules of the game, it was a penalty.

"Of all the challenges in this game, and only one team is playing [football], you give such a penalty, that's unbelievable", he said.

The hosts were dominating in all aspects and were rewarded by a Mohamed Salah goal before half-time but Lovren's risky decision to put his hands on Calvert-Lewin gave Wayne Rooney the opportunity to make it 1-1 and he duly converted the spot-kick.

The Liverpool legend spoke about that moment with the club's official website, saying: "Especially after all the stick I've had off Bluenoses over the years, it was nice to beat them, beat them comfortably and to bag three and keep the match ball. In my understanding it is not okay".

"Did I think it was a penalty? Yes".

Klopp took off Salah in the second-half, but soon after the Egyptian's departure, the visitors would equalise and the German tactician was forced to send on Coutinho in a bid to find the victor.

Same-sex marriage now allowed in Australia, 1st wedding likely in February
Australia's Parliament voted to legalize same-sex marriage Thursday after years of political jockeying and fierce public debate. The bill changes the definition of marriage from a union between a man and a woman to "a union of two people".

Klopp too lost his rag in an incredible post-match interview, blaming the referee then lashing out at the journalist. I can keep that for the rest of my life. "I think the performance shows we made the right decision, but the result does not".

The two fierce rivals went head to head in a Premier League showdown at Anfield earlier today, with the home side looking to continue a stellar recent run of form which had seen them pick up wins in 3 of their last 4 outings (scoring 16 goals in the process), along with an impressive draw with Chelsea.

"Twenty-one days, seven games".

"The players who came on did a brilliant job".

Liverpool are next in action on Wednesday at home to West Bromwich Albion.
