Apple sells out of wireless AirPods worldwide, won't be delivering until January

The AirPods have proven to be quite popular and as Apple tries to meet up with demand for this product, the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the company is going to launch new AirPods late next year. A quick check of Apple's online store shows the earliest you can get the wireless earpods is January 5th, and with free shipping that pushes out to January 9th.

No further information has been provided about the improvements that might be made to the new AirPods. The new AirPods will be assembled by Taiwanese manufacturer Inventec, just as with the original product.

With history as a guide, the second-generation Apple AirPods are likely to be announced next September, followed by a release before the end of next year. The mat is also anticipated to launch at some point in 2018.

Shinee singer Kim Jong-hyun: K-pop boy band superstar dies
The group, formed by SM Entertainment , shot to fame after the release of their debut EP, Replay, in 2008. Kim released his first solo album in 2015 that reached number one on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Currently, many Apple retail stores are listing January 5 as the first available pickup date for new orders. The fact that a holiday season will pass by without the availability of a major accessory to the new generation of iPhones is an unfortunate outcome that will cost Apple the opportunity to make some major sales.

Unlike many of Kuo's predictions about Apple's forthcoming phones and batteries, he does not go into more detail about this particular rumor. It seems that Apple may also be lining up a small update to the earbuds, if KGI's reporting proves accurate.

Apple also suffered supply issues previous year after the AirPods sold out before Christmas.
