Congress MLA slaps cop, gets one back in return

Video grab

A Congress MLA, Asha Kumari and a woman constable Rajvanti ended up slapping each other in a crowded spot after a brief argument broke out between them. "She (the lady police constable) abused me and pushed me, she should have shown restrain. I apologize", Kumari told the media after the incident. A senior Congress leader told TOI that after seeing the video, Rahul expressed his displeasure and told Kumari that she should not have hit the cop.

Complainant further alleged that she was restrained from moving ahead and pushed back and manhandled. Well, while this became quite a news, all that leaped the situation is the lady constable slapping her back at the moment.

"I am not happy with it". No one has a right to raise the hand against someone, at least not the Congress culture.

Asha Kumari is the Punjab in-charge of the AICC and won the recently held Himachal Assembly elections from her home seat Dalhousie.

A high "slap" drama took place on Friday morning in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla after a Congress MLA was denied entry into the party's office where Congress President Rahul Gandhi was holding a review meeting.

In her complaint, the MLA also stated that she could not file the complaint on Friday itself as she had to attend an important meeting.

When the incident happened, Rahul was inside the party office where he was meeting MLAs, defeated candidates and local leaders to discuss the defeat of the Congress.

The Bharatiya Janata Party ousted the ruling Congress in Himachal Pradesh after bagging 44 seats in the 68-member assembly.
