Tonya Harding ends awkward interview with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain

There's been plenty of buzz about the film "I, Tonya" but the woman at the center of the controversy that brought down skater Tonya Harding isn't contributing to it. According to Rosenberg, Harding demanded that reporters sign an affidavit stating that they wouldn't ask her anything "about the past" or they'd be fined.

Tonya Harding interviewed on Good Morning Britain. Michael Rosenberg wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday.

Ryah The tragic thing about Tonya is I think she could have persevered past the personal stuff in her life, but it was the association's rejection that really got to her.

Morgan, however, was just getting started and refused to subscribe to the narrative that Harding was the true victim, as the film, which delves heavily into her abusive relationships with her mother and ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, contends. Though Harding didn't confess to explicitly knowing what Gillooly and Eckhardt had planned, "I knew that something was up", she said. Robbie inhabits Tonya Harding from age 16 to 47, flashing between braces and a feathered perm as teenager to bad skin and weight-adding prosthetics for her modern day incarnation.

Business Insider asked Rogers before the movie opened in December if he was motivated at all to get to the bottom of what Harding knew before writing the script.

"I go, 'What the hell are you talking about?' " Harding said, noting that she "absolutely" believes she was "a pawn".

Cambridge-based Redux bought by Google
The US tech giant snapped up Cambridge firm Redux which can turn screens into speakers using haptic feedback. The same controlled vibrations could also be used to deliver haptic feedback through the display.

Harding, all sharp edges and screw-you attitude, didn't fit the cookie-cutter ideal of a traditional figure skater, pugnacious and excitable in a sport that values gentility and fastidiousness. Would the scene in which Margot Robbie's Harding speaks while the director makes sure we see the pile of dirty dishes piled up behind her leave you in stitches? "You all disrespected me and it hurt". Like, that's my role in this whole thing.

Harding has alleged that her mother abused her throughout her childhood, and once even threw a steak knife at her.

At last Sunday's Golden Globe Awards show, Harding sat with Allison Janney and other stars of the film and was treated as a returning hero when Janney introduced her when accepting her best supporting actress award.

Tonya Harding has long denied she knew a plan was afoot to injure Nancy Kerrigan at the 1994 US Figure Skating Championships. "That was why I chose to do this movie". Golden hits her daughter repeatedly, withholds bathroom breaks, hires a heckler to fire her up, and, yes, throws a steak knife at her, striking her in the arm. Despite her denial, Golden admitted, "I spanked her once with a hairbrush at a competition", but claimed that it was an isolated incident.

"Enough apologizing", Harding said in the interview. "Tonya herself called us trailer trash".

So she watched it a few times, and the shock wore off, and there from the comfort of her living room, sitting beside the only romantic partner she has ever felt loved by and safe with, she watched what had happened in her life and realized that she never really stood a chance.
