Homophobic British politician's girlfriend sent shocking racist texts about Meghan Markle

Henry Bolton Ukip

The model girlfriend of a United Kingdom Independent Party leader was suspended from the political party after she reportedly made "racist" remarks about Meghan Markle, saying the duchess-to-be has a "tiny brain" and will "taint" the Royal family with "her seed".

Yesterday the party was reeling after it emerged that Miss Marney had sent racist messages about black people, including dismissing Miss Markle's suitability to be Prince Harry's wife, adding: 'This is Britain, not Africa'.

In the text messages, published by The Mail on Sunday, Marney said Prince Harry's "black American" fiancée will pave the way for a "black king" in the British monarchy.

"He must go, he must go quickly, he must go as quietly as possible", MEP and UKIP member Bill Etheridge said.

Since the abhorrent nature of the texts were revealed, Marney has been suspended from UKIP.

The party chairman Paul Oakden told BBC's Sunday Politics that Bolton now had some "difficult decisions" to make.

Other party members instead resisted the idea of sacking their leader, concerned about the future of a party that has endured three leadership elections and a shrinking popular support in recent months, since founder Nigel Farage stepped down after the Brexit referendum in 2016 delivered a majority for the "Leave" side for which he had campaigned.

Peter Whittle, the party's former deputy leader, has called for UKIP to kick Marney out of the party. "Ukip does not, has not and never will condone racism".

She said: "The opinions I expressed were deliberately exaggerated in order to make a point and have, to an extent, been taken out of context".

State health officials issue warning; latest flu trends "alarming"
The percentage of hospital admissions due to pneumonia also have risen above the 4 percent baseline statewide, officials say. Flu vaccines are available at the health department and at many healthcare providers, urgent care facilities and pharmacies.

Marney has apologised for her words and claimed they had been taken out of context. "Yet I fully recognise the offence they have caused", Marney said in a statement to the Mail on Sunday.

A UKIP spokesman told the Press Association Ms Marney had been suspended from the party.

Marney's boyfriend, Bolton, was also criticized recently after he made a decision to leave his wife, Tatiana Smurova, so he could be with his much younger girlfriend.

In the texts, Marney gave a list of reasons why she doesn't like Markle. "This person should not just be suspended from @UKIP but expelled altogether".

He said he had already made clear on social media that he had recently been spending time "with somebody who has become increasingly important to me".

An emergency alert that warned of ballistic missile heading straight for Hawaii and sent residents into a full-blown panic Saturday was a mistake, state emergency officials said.

He was responding to a teenage party activist who urged him to publicly call for Marney to have her UKIP membership revoked.

Mr Bolton was elected Ukip leader last September.
