New Xbox Elite Controller With USB Type-C Charging Leaked

A new Xbox One Elite Controller could be on the way this year

A series of leaked images reveal what is said to be a new version of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. It has four interchangeable paddles on the back, Hair Trigger Locks, re-mappable buttons, and swappable components.

The original Duke controller isn't the only piece of hardware Microsoft has in store for us if new reports are to be believed. Back in December, Microsoft filed a patent with the same adjustable stick design and the leaked photos seem to match the illustrations from the patent filing. Images of the updated version of the Elite controller spotted on Chinese site Baidu show the same features as the original, alongside a few added extras.

An additional image has been uploaded on Reddit, and it actually shows off the whole controller. However, from the sounds of it, this new Elite controller will be a pretty major upgrade.

OPEC and oil producing nations' newest oil scare: Prices rising too fast
Opec's report also showed a sharp downturn in Venezuelan oil production amid an economic crisis. Said the Organization Of Petroleum Exporting Countries in its monthly oil market reports.

A source familiar with Microsoft's Xbox plans has confirmed to The Verge that the Reddit image of the controller is genuine, but it's not clear exactly when or if Microsoft plans to introduce this new controller. Let's remember that the present controller of the Xbox Elite has some issues with the grip sections draining down in time.

Overall, it looks like the new Xbox Elite Controller improves upon its 2015 predecessor while keeping most of the same basic features. We reached out and received the stock reply "Microsoft does not comment on rumor or speculation".

While the Xbox Elite controller on the market right now offers a premium gaming experience-as it should at its price tag of $149.99-many who bought it complained about faulty bumpers that would constantly pop out or break entirely. If not, E3 2018 will be held in June.
