Megyn Kelly Addressed That Awkward Plastic Surgery Interview Moment With Jane Fonda

Fonda immediately recoiled while asking, "We really wanna talk about that now?" "You were going through a dark period". By the way she says she is not proud of America.

Then she took a shot at her character! She just believed that it didn't belong in the context of that short and breezy interview. That comment was awkward, mean-spirited. Kelly then unearthed the decades-old controversy over Fonda's remarks and actions during her protest of the Vietnam War.

Fonda is still fuming over a Kelly interview question last September, telling Variety: "I was stunned [by the plastic surgery question]".

In the final 10 minutes of "Megyn Kelly Today", she reeled off clip after clip, "Daily Show"-style, of Ms. Fonda talking openly about her plastic surgery in past interviews". Or maybe she knows that Fonda won't be able to resist a retort, which is great for ratings.

Kotb and Guthrie burst out laughing before changing the subject from their NBC co-worker.

"Today" reps declined to comment. Kelly said Fonda's radio broadcasts "attempted to shame American troops".

European Union withdrawal bill to face House of Lords after MPs approve it
Keir Starmer, Labor's shadow Brexit secretary, described the bill as not fit for goal , filled with a number of defects. But the amendment was defeated by 321 votes to 297 - with all 13 Scottish Conservatives voting against.

"I have no regrets about that question, nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane Fonda on what is and is not appropriate".

Kelly ended the segment by saying that Fonda's "moral indignation is a little much." . In her explanation about why she wasn't prepared to take such advice from Fonda, Kelly labeled Fonda an unpatriotic American whose "name is synonymous with outrage".

Fonda has yet to respond to Kelly's daring criticism, but she previously issued a public apology for her extreme actions during the Vietnam War, having sparked outrage among her fellow Americans for posing on a missile launcher aimed at USA soldiers in Hanoi back in 1972.

Ms. Kelly has benefited from the longest ratings winning streak for the first two hours of "Today" in almost six years - a run that has come after the network fired its former star host, Matt Lauer, after he was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with a subordinate. She simply stated that her philosophy of what people think of her is none of her business. But Kelly veered the conversation to dish about Fonda's past plastic surgery instead. She called our P.O.W.s hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as ' understandable.' Even she had to apologize years later for that gun picture. She said she wanted to discuss the plight of older women in America. "When she first complained, I chose to say nothing".

But last week, Kelly was hit with what one media insider described to Fox News as "a slap in the face".
