The Latest Absurd Attempt to Discredit the Mueller Investigation

Rep. Trey Gowdy R-SC ‘You’re supposed to be investigating objectively the person who just won the Electoral College

Their texting history, which Sessions said included over 50,000 messages outside of the uncollected period, is now under review by the DOJ's inspector general, who is conducting a separate probe of the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Baier asked Johnson about text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, two FBI agents who were ultimately removed from the ongoing investigation into whether Donald Trump and his campaign associates colluded with Russian officials to sway the 2016 election.

The two were found to be having an affair; Strzok, a senior counterintelligence official, was reassigned from the Mueller probe after the discovery of the text messages between them.

Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller thinks they've got a real scoop with this story about an FBI agent - the same agent they've been savaging as anti-Trump - saying at the very beginning of Robert Mueller being named special counsel that his "gut sense" was that the investigation would come up empty.

During the 2016 presidential election, Strzok, an FBI agent, was the Chief of the Counterespionage Section for the FBI and was tasked to the investigation team overseeing Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email server during her tenure as Secretary of State in the Obama Administration. President Trump has focused on the missing messages, and seemed to mock the blame placed on Samsung, although he has repeatedly given an incorrect figure for the missing texts.

Now, with a new deadline two weeks away, the missing texts are garnering more attention.

Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh protest deportation
The government must also include the community on a list of the country's recognised ethnic groups, they demanded. Lakhs of Rohingya have since fled to Bangladesh, where they have been living in cramped refugee camps.

"I am pleased to hear that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is going to launch an investigation into what happened to those texts, and I hope they are uncovered ..."

"You and I both know the odds are nothing".

Enter Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, a Republican, also on Fox on Tuesday, who suggested that the phrase "secret society" referred to something quite specific.

When someone says, 'we need to finish the job, we need to fix what we weren't able to do, ' that's troubling. One lawmaker has explained the nature of the missing texts must be investigated and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation must prove they were not involved in obstruction of congressional oversight and the evidence must not have been destroyed to circumvent proper channels.

Strzok reportedly changed former FBI Director James Comey's speech - in which he said he didn't recommend charges against Clinton - to say Clinton engaged in "extremely careless" behavior rather than "grossly negligent" behavior.

The missing messages have caused problems for the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General.
