Natalie Wood's sister speaks out as decades-long death investigation continues

Natalie Wood's daughter says stepdad Robert Wagner didn't kill her mum after cops reveal he's a 'person of interest' in

Just last week, it was announced that Wagner is now being called a person of interest by Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators.

What Happened to Natalie Wood? He said the key to deciding if it becomes a murder investigation is finding out how Wood got in the water - did she fall accidentally or was she put in the water.

Authorities initially ruled the death an accidental drowning, but that changed. The press conference opened with Capt. Christopher Bergner, who said that the department reopened the investigation into Wood's death in 2011 and it remains a "suspicious circumstances death".

During a news conference at sheriff's headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, Sheriff's Lt. John Corina said that the department was giving the case one "last shot" to see if any other witnesses would come forward. "We're closer to understanding what happened".

"It was really intense and got so bad that he went down to the cabin to check on them because he was anxious there was some sort of assault going on". It was really intense and it was so bad, [Captain Dennis Davern] went down to check on them because he was anxious that there was some kind of an assault. The witnesses believed that the voices belonged to Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner. "Before it goes quiet". Davern told investigators that Wagner looked angry and he feared for his own safety.

Although Walken has not been named by investigators, Wood's death has been classified as suspicious and Wagner has been named a person of interest. "We're still trying to figure out what happened".

"Our biggest challenge is time", he said.

Microsoft is switching its approach to Windows 10 S, its new version of Windows that's created to compete with Chrome OS. Office 2019 will ship in the second half of this year and you will be able to get previews of it in the second quarter.

Corina also confirmed Wood's body had bruises.

"[The bruises] were probably caused by another person", Corina said. "I'd like to thank the witnesses that came forward and reached out to the general public who have firsthand knowledge of that night", Bergner offered.

Lt Corina said he "would love to hear Wagner's version of events", because, as far as he was concerned, the accounts "didn't add up". If not, it may be the end of the investigation, a Los Angeles County sheriff's official said.

Speaking to 48 Hours, which will air an episode about the Wood investigation on Saturday, LASD Lieutenant John Corina said, "As we've investigated the case over the last six years, I think [Wagner is] more of a person of interest now". As a result of the new witnesses - which include acquaintances of the couple, people staying on Catalina Island, and people near the boat where Natalie drowned - investigators have re-created a timeline of the events leading to her death. "He's a person of interest because he was the last person with her before she went in the water".

Corina explained that the story that was told at the time - that Wood chose to go into town on her own, in the rain, late at night in her nightgown and socks, "does not add up", especially since no one heard the dinghy start up. Other witnesses saw a man and woman arguing on the back of the yacht.

The pair married in 1957 and divorced five years later. I know people lose their tempers.
