AT&T names first three cities to get its ultra-fast 5G network

AT&T and other carriers now do not offer 5G-capable mobile phones, according to CNN.

As we previously reported, AT&T's initial mobile 5G service will be based on mobile hotspots, or "pucks", as 5G-capable smartphones will not be available in time for the launches.

"Our mobile 5G firsts will put our customers in the middle of it all", Elbaz said. I guess we will be able to live stream 4K 360 degree content from our smartphones!

White House: New policy won't affect Trump's son-in-law
Kushner's ability to continue to do the very important work he has been assigned by the president", Lowell said last week. Abbe Lowell, Kushner's lawyer, said the senior official "has done more than what is expected of him in this process".

The term 5G stands for 5th generation wireless broadband technology, which is expected to be faster and have better data capacity than current 4G networks.

AT&T plans to identify the other deployment markets in the coming months.

Previously, the No. 2 carrier in the US said it expected 5G technology to deliver speeds between 10 and 100 times faster than today's average 4G LTE connectivity. Mansfield said AT&T is working aggressively with vendors, so that it can start stocking shelves in 2019.

The wireless giant previously said it would introduce the service to about a dozen USA markets by late 2018, but it didn't specify which cities or a specific timeline.

Last year, Verizon announced it would launch 5G residential broadband services in 2018 in select markets.
