Leicester City's Shinji Okazaki could return to squad for clash against Bournemouth

Wilfred Ndidi ‘most consistent' Leicester City player- Claude Puel

Ndidi according to Leicester Mercury, has taken more shots without scoring in the English Premier League this season.

Puel added: "I think since the beginning of the season Wilfred is perhaps the most important and most consistent player [for us] because he has played well [and] recovered a lot of balls".

And, although the French tactician admitted that the combative midfielder was not at his best in their last game against Stoke City where they ended up sharing the spoils, he is, however, impressed by the overall performance of the player.

This allows us to make further long-term investments in outstanding players and key personnel; infrastructure to strengthen our operations and services; and world-class facilities such as our proposed new training facility in Charnwood - all of which will aid the Club's continued growth for generations to come. He can recover a lot of balls, he is strong in the duels and now, when he plays simple with quality, he can give a good start in our play.

The Cherries led for over an hour at King Power Stadium after Josh King scored a 35th-minute penalty and set his side on course for a third win in five Premier League matches. It was the same feeling from the fans because they pushed their team until the end. "We'll prepare this week and hopefully, we can get the result".

"We spoke about Wilfred, the other week it was about [Harry] Maguire and last week it was another. It's a good thing also to have some players with this quality and about the interest of other teams also".

The Japan global has missed the last three Leicester matches with a knee injury, however, he has returned to training and has been progressing well.

Leicester had chances to equalise and it looked like they would be denied, until Mahrez struck from 25 yards out deep into injury time.
