Chinese Parliament set to endorse President Xi's line-up

It's necessary and timely to include important theories, philosophies, strategies and policies adopted at the 19th CPC National Congress, turning China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and attractive, realising national rejuvenation, setting the leadership of the Party as the defining feature, revising the term limits for the Chinese President and Vice-President, and deepening the supervisory system reform.

The proposal to remove the presidential term limit from the constitution has dominated global discussions about China since it was announced last month, sparking fears of a risky return to one-man rule.

Xi recently began his second five-year term. In this way, there is continuity.

Xi said that by representing Inner Mongolia as a deputy from the region, he demonstrated the great attention that the CPC Central Committee pays to ethnic minority and border region affairs and the CPC Central Committee's firm resolve to reduce poverty.

Premier Li Keqiang, the head of the government in China, delivered the annual "work report", which detailed core programs and targets set for the economy in a three-hour state-of-the-nation address at the National People's Congress in Beijing.

Despite Trump's praise for the "great" Chinese president, Xi Jinping's record in human rights is less than seller.

Kerry Brown, director of the Lau China Institute at King's College London, said Wang's claim that the proposal had overwhelming support could be a veneer.

Kelly Ripa is 'livid' with Ryan Seacrest
Seacrest's role in E!'s Oscars coverage, however, has still come under fire. As such, she said, Seacrest's presence at the ceremony is ill-fitting.

I don't know about you, but if you hear the audio it sounds like he's joking.

Last month, the 64-year-old Xi proposed that China abolish term limits for president, reversing a precedent established after the death of Chairman Mao Zedong in 1976. That has left little doubt over what official line the roughly 3,000 delegates gathered in the Chinese capital are to follow.

This caused Chinese social media to explode with speculations that Chinese President Xi Jinping is seeking to extend his tenure indefinitely. "It reflects the will of the people".

These remarks come after Trump on Thursday announced that his administration will impose 25 per cent on steel imports and 10 per cent on aluminium products and described trade wars as "good". "It's the difference between heaven and earth compared to the endless debates for their own political interests between certain ruling and opposition parties in the West", it wrote, without saying which foreign reporters had offered praise.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives for the opening session of the National People's Congress at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China, on March 5, 2018. However, watch for signs of political fallout from this decision over the next year and possibly more anti-corruption purges.

"How can the China dream be realised if nobody listens to him?"
