Outrage as Indian doctors prop patient's head with his own amputated leg

Mr Ghanshyam, 28, a school bus conductor, had lost one of his legs when the bus turned turtle in Lehcura area in Jhansi district on Saturday. Earlier past year, over 30 children had died in Gorakhpur's BRD Medical College and Hospital after oxygen supply was disrupted over non-payment of dues.

When the insensitive approach of the doctors was brought to the notice of CMS, Dr Harish Chandra Arya, he said the matter would be investigated and strong action would be taken against the persons responsible for the act. The doctors at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College put the amputated leg under the victim's head to help him.
