The Trump administration is imposing sanctions on 19 Russians for alleged interference in the 2016 USA election, including 13 indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller.
"This is old news and our assistance and cooperation with the various investigations remains the same today", NY lawyer Alan Futerfas, who represents the Trump Organization in the Russian Federation probe, said in a statement.
The probe by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russia's influence on the last presidential election is about to get murky after an organisation belonging to President Donald Trump got subpoenaed. A source told CNN that the intent of the subpoena was to "clean up" and ensure all relevant documents are turned over.
The development is coming two weeks after Sam Nunberg, former aide to Trump said he would risk jail term by not complying with a subpoena served him by Mueller but later retracted his comments.
The breadth of the subpoena that came to light Thursday was not clear, nor was it clear why Mueller issued it instead of simply asking for the documents from the company, an umbrella organization that oversees Trump's business ventures.
"Since July 2017, we have advised the public that the Trump Organization is fully cooperative with all investigations, including the Special Counsel, and is responding to their requests". The company has said that it never had real estate holdings in Russian Federation, but witnesses recently interviewed by Mueller have been asked about a possible real estate deal in Moscow.
United Kingdom watchdog asks financial businesses to complete Brexit survey
Ending his own speech by slapping the table in front of him, Juncker said: "We need to focus on our European future". The EU and Britain are hoping to seal a deal this month on a transition period after Brexit this spring.
Mueller is investigating Russian election meddling and any ties to the Trump campaign.
Trump would not say whether he would fire Mueller if he did look into his finances.
The critical issue at this juncture is how much Russian money and which Russian oligarchs remain invested in the Trump Organization.
Witnesses have already been asked about planned property deals in Moscow.
Mueller is investigating Russian attempts to influence the 2016 USA election, and potential collusion by Trump aides.
In a statement released by lawyer's representing the Trump Organization, the legal team called reports of Mueller's latest action "old news".
