Congress a client, Cambridge Analytica worked extensively in India, says whistleblower

BRITAIN-US-INTERNET-FACEBOOK-MEDIA

Committee on Tuesday that Dan Muresan, who had worked on the Indian project, was suspected to have been poisoned in his Kenyan hotel room in 2012 after a deal went sour.

Admitting that the recent scandal might encourage Facebook users to leave the site, it says: "You can download a secure copy and even move it to another service".

Cambridge Analytica has denied providing Aggregate IQ with the data it gathered, reportedly harvested through a personality quiz developed by the company Global Science Research.

Asked whether the results swayed the referendum vote he insisted that was irrelevant.

When asked if he wanted to bring the companies he had worked for down, he replied: "Frankly, yes". SCL is not a legitimate business. "For me, that's concerning and I think it should be looked into". Aggregate IQ then allegedly used that data to build the Ripon software, the election software platform that was also used in the USA presidential election. Mark Zuckerberg also said last week that users would soon see a tool on the top of their News Feeds that will allow them to quickly revoke the permissions of third-party apps to their data. "Going into the developing world and running a country is something that appeals to them".

Wylie said he was sorry for helping to build the company.

He added: "For me it makes me so angry because a lot of people supported Leave because they believe in the application of British law and British sovereignty and to irrevocably alter the constitutional settlement of this country on the basis of fraud is a mutilation of the constitutional settlement of this country". The key thing, he said, was "you have to have your guy in power first".

Odell Beckham Jr. NFL trade rumor mill
There was drama brewing over the weekend with some back-and-fourth between the NY Giants and their star Odell Beckham Jr. That shakes out to 96 receptions, 1.374 yards and 12 touchdowns per season. "We always want weapons", Shurmur said.

A day after Cambridge Analytica's former expert Christopher Wylie named the Indian National Congress as firm's "client" during a testimony before the British Parliament, a BBC documentary has gone viral that has left the Opposition party red-faced. It is not clear from the documents whether the data the company used was acquired through Facebook and whether the company misused private data.

AggregateIQ, GSR, Palantir... Any more firms to mention?

.

In a major setback for the Congress party, Cambridge Analytica's former Director Christopher Wylie has said in his testimony to the House of Commons committee in the United Kingdom that the data company worked with the party during elections.

Implicating a new actor in the ongoing scandal, Wylie said that a Canadian analytics company called Aggregate IQ acted as a "proxy money-laundering vehicle" for funneling illegal funds into pro-Brexit campaigns, and that SCL provided this company with Facebook user data so it could build software to target voters online. It has also sought details on whether it the data has been used to manipulate the Indian electoral process.

AIQ has issued a statement saying it has "never been and is not a part of Cambridge Analytica or SCL", has "never entered into a contract with Cambridge Analytica" (although it makes no mention, or denial, of a contract with SCL) and has "never knowingly been involved in any illegal activity".

A disagreement emerged between Rai and Nix, he said, over where Indians' data should be stored.
