Looters: PDP dismisses FG's list

He further stated that this is just a tip of the iceberg and some of the cases are still in court, stressing that the list is not a mere imagination of the APC.

"Dr Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications, on trial for taking N2.1 billion from the office of then NSA".

"We emphatically say that the PDP is on a rebound and such flimsy allegations by the APC and its horde of looters, who stole huge wealth from their respective states of the federation to sponsor an incompetent candidate in 2015, can not stop us from challenging the Federal Government to fulfil its campaign promises".

Mohammed said: "They are in court and the records are available. He should mention names of those whom he claims corrupted themselves", the PDP spokesperson said.

"If the persons listed view it as name-dropping, they could sue for defamation; justification is the total defence to defamation".

It's like a robber admitting to stealing your vehicle and apologising, but then saying he will keep the auto anyway.

The PDP made the remark in reaction to a statement credited to Tinubu, advising Nigerians against accepting the main opposition party.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed as hollow and laughable the list of looters released by the Federal Government, Punch reports.

Prince Uche Secondus has told Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed to get ready to proof his N200 million allegation against him in court.

The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) has described the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government as unserious in the fight against corruption.

Mohammed, the information minister, released the list during a press conference in Lagos, adding that the individuals include officials in the past government.

"It is unfortunate that the APC and its government under whose watch horrendous sleazes are happening on daily basis and a government that has failed to fulfil the littlest of its campaign promises can spend a wholesome three years searching for flimsy allegations to discredit our party and its members". In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, the PDP also blamed the APC chieftain for the failure of the Buhari Presidency.

"There are others who are civil servants, there are many others who were appointees in public office and there are some who are in the All Progressives Congress (APC) who were also in the PDP's government, none of those appeared on the list".
