Advertisers May Be Fleeing, But Fox News Is Sticking With Laura Ingraham

Laura Ingraham

CNN host Ana Cabrera gave Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg a bit of a grilling - by CNN's standards - over the weekend, telling the high school student that many have called him a bully over the boycott he launched against Laura Ingraham.

"We can not and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts", Fox News Co-President Jack Abernethy said on Monday after 15 companies publicly said they will no longer advertise on Ingraham's show. The host of The Ingraham Angle apologized amid the flurry of advertisers fleeing her show but Hogg told CNN that he does not accept her apology and that "a bully is a bully".

More than a dozen corporate advertisers cut ties with Ingraham's show late last week, following her decision to tweet an article mocking Hogg for getting rejected from four colleges he applied to.

Ingraham lost advertisers, including Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé, Hulu, Jos.

Ingraham announced on her show Friday, "A blessed Good Friday and Passover to all of you; I'll be off next week for Easter break with my kids", saying guest hosts would fill in this week.

She later announced she was taken a pre-planned vacation this week, which some speculated might be linked to advertisers leaving her show.

Apple's Cook Has Pointed Advice for Facebook's Zuckerberg
Whether you love or hate Apple, the company's business practices do seem to back up Cook's statements for the most part. When asked what he would do if he were in Mark Zuckerburg's shoes right now, Cook replied, " What would I do?

But the O'Reilly ad pullout had come in reaction to a New York Times report clocking the millions of dollars in settlements that had been paid out by O'Reilly's parent company and the host himself to settle harassment complaints over the years.

Hogg took to Twitter, where his number of followers has surpassed 700,000. He called Ms. Ingraham a bully, said the apology was insincere, and demanded that she denounce Fox News' coverage of gun control.

"Soooo @IngrahamAngle what are your biggest advertisers".

Laura Ingraham is going to learn today that it's not child's play when dealing with Parkland survivor David Hogg. Stelter asked, adding, "I'm personally pretty wary of this".

The only brand that gained a significant amount of negative perception among consumers in recent days was Fox News.
