Colin Kaepernick Seahawks Visit Postponed Over Kneeling Controversy

Kaepernick

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier today that the Seattle Seahawks have made a decision to postpone its visit with former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick over the matter of the Anthem Protests.

It had been originally reported on Thursday morning that the Seattle Seahawks had scheduled to bring in quarterback Colin Kaepernick in for a workout this week.

The Seahawks are still considering working out Kaepernick, a source told the network.

One day before his scheduled Friday meeting with receiver Dez Bryant to discuss his future with the team, Jones was finally deposed on Thursday in the Colin Kaepernick collusion grievance against the National Football League, a source confirmed.

A source told the Seattle Times that the Seahawks asked Kaepernick about his plans for the upcoming season and his "off the field activities" and Kaepernick said he didn't know.

If Schefter's report is accurate, and the Seattle Seahawks postponed or canceled Kaepernick's workout due to his peaceful protest, it doesn't bode well for the team, or the NFL. After all, this comes on the heels of the Cincinnati Bengals not signing free agent safety Eric Reid.

Rick Scott: I'm taking on Bill Nelson for Senate
The company was ultimately fined $1.7 billion for Medicare fraud - the largest fine of its kind at the time . He also changed his hard-line positions on immigration.

Last month, the Seahawks released Trevone Boykin, who was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Kaepernick has been out of a job since the end of the 2016 season, with no team picking him up after the quarterback parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers.

He filed a lawsuit alleging that the NFL has conspired to keep him out of the league. Therefore, he's still a free agent. The former 49ers quarterback began kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and treatment of minorities in 2016 and has not backed down from his public comments or work in the community.

The Seahawks are no stranger to protests during the anthem.

"He's such a locker area cancer that his team mates gave him that the Len Eshmont Award, that is provided to the player who best exemplifies courage and inspiration". He chosen from his own agreement with the 49ers following a 20-16 to 2017 season and contains remained unsigned.
