Apple to launch premium news subscription service

Apple bought Texture last month. Texture

Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new Apple Music-like subscription-based service within the next year. Apple Music, iCloud, and App Store revenues rose to $30 billion in the 2017 fiscal year, and the company would like that to be about $50 billion by 2021. Still, it's unclear how Apple News will display magazine content, specifically whether articles will be shown in their PDF-like downloadable forms or forced to adapt to News's web-like scrollable and dynamically reformattable interface.

Apple's move to introduce a news subscription service will allow it to generate more revenue through its online content and service sector. Before News, Apple had had Newsstand, which was essentially a market for purchasing subscriptions to individual magazines and newspapers.

There's a bigger question out there: will consumers be willing to pay for premium news and magazine content in the same way they now pay for Netflix video content? But previous efforts like Newsstand weren't an all-you-can-eat way of going about it.

Apple has had limited success with its news services applications.

The woman accusing Broidy has refused to show proof of pregnancy, according to the source, who has reviewed the contract. Cohen reached out to me after being contacted by this woman's attorney, Keith Davidson, " Broidy said in his statement.

Last month, Apple announced that it was acquiring Texture, the digital magazine subscription service by Next Issue Media LLC. It's thought that a new, simplified subscription service could boost Apple News usage and create a new revenue stream similar to Apple Music.

Apple News launched in 2015 as an app available on the company's iOS mobile operating system. Seeing as how the company managed to take less than a million people who had subscribed to Beats Music and turn them into 40 million Apple Music listeners, it's not like they have no experience convincing people to hand over a bit of money every month.

Apple will reportedly share a portion of the revenue from the new service with partner organizations. It also gets a cut of subscriptions sold by third-party apps on the App Store.

Currently, there are no details about which news organizations Apple would partner with for the subscription service.
