Clashes between police and protesters in Yerevan injure 46

As of Tuesday morning, the majority had been discharged with twelve people still receiving treatment, including one police officer.

An Associated Press reporter saw several people wounded, with at least four being taken away by ambulances, including protest leader Nikol Pashinian. Police warned demonstrators to disperse or face tear gas. The opposition also held several days of rallies. They are an expression of people's frustration with the regime.

Opposition demonstrators blockaded government buildings in Armenia's capital Tuesday as parliament was set to confirm the pro-Moscow former president as the real power in the country.

The growing protests are aimed at preventing Serzh Sargsyan from assuming the position of prime minister.
