Manchester City dominate PFA Premier League Team of the Year

Pep Guardiola Man City Premier League

Manchester City player made up nearly half of the Professional Footballers' Association's Premier League team of the year.

Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Christian Eriksen have been voted as the best midfielders in the division this season, and rightly so. Argentine Aguero is named in the PFA team for the first time.

We look at the reaction to the PFA team announced today.

PFA Team of the Year: David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen, Nicolas Otamendi, Marcos Alonso, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero.

The Argentina global may still be prone to some freakish decisions, but Otamendi has made 2,665 successful passes in the Premier League this season, at least 300 more than any other player, showing how the champions play the ball out from the back.

Mourinho slams United as they hand title to City
A disappointed Juan Mata says Manchester United must shift their focus to a crucial week in their season following their 1-0 loss to West Brom on Sunday.

There are three Tottenham Hotspur players and one from the trio of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

City clinched the title with a record-equaling five games remaining.

However, the selection of Marcos Alonso will raise eyebrows.

Liverpool Winger Mohamed Salah is the favorite to win the PFA Player of the Year award, and later this month the victor will be announced. And Aguero has enjoyed another fine season scoring 30 in all competitions, including 21 in the Premier League alone.
