Motorola announces its latest flagships; the G6 and E5

Motorola Announces the Introduction of New G- and E-Series Phones

The phones have received a lot of leaks and rumors till date which have been made official by the giant.

Moto G6 Play kinda sits between the above two devices. But a year or more down the line, it's likely that the Moto G6 will start to fall behind on software features as new versions of Android pass it by.

Moto "G6 Plus", the report said, would come with a 5.9-inch display and a "unique dual smart camera system" with landmark recognition. "It has the same 5.7" HD+ Max Vision 18:9 display and secure fingerprint reader. The handset has a 16:9 5.2-inch screen with HD+ resolution. It's more powerful with the 1.4 GHz-core Snapdragon 427 processor and Adreno 308 GPU. It's a 1.8GHz octa-core processor.

In this post, we will be pitting the Moto G6 Play, Moto E5 Plus, and the Redmi 5 against each other.

Though the Moto G6 series of smartphones share their design theme with one another, each is different in terms of specifications and features.

The Moto G6 smartphone comes with 3GB and 4GB of RAM. The device comes with plenty of voice commands and gestures, and of course, the Moto Display. The all new Moto G6 Plus comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 (64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.2Ghz coupled with optional 4GB/6GB of RAM.

RAM: 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, expandable memory with microSD.

Tonight's WWE Superstar Shakeup Will Affect Their Bossier City Show
Baron Corbin , Mojo Rawley , Zack Ryder , Chad Gable , and The Ascension all jumped to RAW without actually appearing on the show. The A-Lister's night got even worse when he competed in a 10-man tag team match alongside Owens, Zayn, Dallas and Axel.

We particularly like the 3D rear glass on offer here that's reminiscent of the Galaxy S7 and also the Honor 9. It further comes with a single rear camera and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The Moto logo on the back isn't dimpled anymore but the camera module remains circular, even if it does still stick out a little way.

Keeping in mind all the specs and features of the three phones in the comparison, we can say that the Redmi 5 and the Moto E5 Plus fought a close war.

Rear Camera: 13MP, f/2.0 aperture, LED Flash, Video recording up to 1080p @ 30fps. It's also got an 8MP rear shooter, a Snapdragon 425/427 CPU, and a 5MP selfie snapper. The Moto G6 Plus has a physical home button with integrated fingerprint scanner under the 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. For multimedia enthusiasts, the phone features dual front-facing stereo speakers powered by Dolby audio. However, the Moto E5 Plus takes the crown with its mammoth battery, larger screen, and better camera. The handset houses a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support. The phone features traditional micro-USB port. The phone has a water-repellent coating and has a micro USB port and a 3.5 mm jack. A fingerprint scanner, 4G support, dual SIM card slots and other connectivity options are standard on both smartphones.

What do you think of the device?

Moving onto cameras, and the Moto G6 is ones of the cheapest mid-range phones to come with a dual camera setup. The 64GB variant of the phone has not been launched in India. Latin America and North America markets will get the devices after a couple of months.

Moto G6 Plus has a starting price of €299, which is around Rs 24,000 plus on conversion. It is available in Indigo and Gold color variants.
