Saudi Arabia says intercepted Houthi missiles launched at Aramco facility

Air strikes by a Saudi-led military coalition killed at least 20 people attending a wedding in a village in northwestern Yemen late on Sunday, residents and medical sources said.

The dead were mostly women and children - including the bride - who were gathered in one of the tents set up for the wedding party in the district of Bani Qayis, according to Khaled al-Nadhri, the top health official in the northern province of Hajja.

Video footage of a boy who survived the attack spread through social media, showing the child clinging to the body of what appeared to be his deceased father.

Samad was second on the coalition's most needed checklist of Houthi leaders, after the group's chief Abdel-Malek al-Houthi.

"We take this report very seriously and it will be fully investigated as all reports of this nature are", a spokesperson of the coalition said.

The Houthis rebels allied with Iran, get a grip on much of Yemen, Sanaa, for example, capital.

Its bombs have killed hundreds of civilians at hospitals, schools and markets.

Saudi coalition air raids have repeatedly struck civilian targets while trying to target Houthi forces during the three-year war.

The Yemen war has killed more than 10,000 people, displaced more than 2 million and driven the country to the verge of starvation, according to the United Nations.
