President Trump 'Deserves the Nobel Peace Prize'

President Donald Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize according to Rep. Luke Messer

And he may soon have a Nobel Peace Prize to show for it. Trump and Kim are now the favorites to win the prize, according to one British oddsmaker, and some of Trump's aides are telling reporters that a lasting thaw between North and South Korea should win Trump the award.

Ingraham began by saying President Trump is "on the verge of a truly historic diplomatic triumph" as South Korea is growing more optimistic that their hostile neighbor in the north will denuclearize.

Some right-leaning US politicians, experts on worldwide relations, and people who advocate Korean unification are saying US President Donald Trump deserves the credit for the talks.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said the dramatic announcement that North and South Korean leaders will work toward a "nuclear-free Korean Peninsula" and try to officially end the Korean War would not have been possible without President Trump.

Laura Ingraham also compared Trump and Obama's Nobel Peace Prize from 2009 on Twitter.

"Clearly, credit goes to President Trump", Kang told CNN.

He also stressed that Trump's aggressive position helped to return North Korea to the negotiations. Mike Pompeo, Trump's newly confirmed secretary of state, met with Kim in secret three weeks ago. This is no small accomplishment - and certainly worth the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump and Kim have gone from exchanging heated barbs to agreeing to meet in person, which could happen as soon as next month.

Last week, Trump gave North Korea and South Korea his "blessing to discuss the end of the war".

Trump's aides, in the meantime, are optimistic and believe the president deserves the prize, according to Bloomberg. Earlier this year the president tweeted about having a "much bigger" nuclear button than North Korea.
