Gabrielle Union on Cosby Verdict: "Just the First Domino to Go"

Bill Cosby accuser Andrea Constand left and her attorney Dolores Troiani listen during a news conference after Cosby was found guilty on Thursday in Norristown Pa

Bill Cosby was found guilty of all three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and molesting a woman in 2004.

Lublin said one of the last things she remembers is Cosby touching her hair and putting his legs near her arms.

That moment had been years in the making.

The verdict in the first big celebrity trial of the #MeToo era sealed the downfall of an entertainer who broke racial barriers in Hollywood on his way to TV superstardom as sweater-wearing, wisdom-dispensing Dr. Cliff Huxtable. He was a trustee of the university and she had turned to him for career advice.

She said he had given her three blue pills to "help take the edge off", which she believed to be a natural remedy.

During her testimony, Lotte-Lublin said she spoke to Cosby directly at times. "I felt anger, was humiliated, disgusted, ashamed". And I've wanted to release it for a good long time.

"Apparently, Constand really was very consistent in the way she testified from the first trial to the second trial, and it just was probably more than the defense could really come back at", said Ritter. I just started shaking, my stomach was turning in knots. "I trusted him because he's 'America's Dad'". Constand sued Cosby after prosecutors initially declined to file charges, settling with him for almost $3.4 million over a decade ago.

"So did it hurt (Cosby's) case?" In it, he admitted giving women drugs for the objective of having sex.

That deposition would remain secret for nearly a decade. For the main role he received an Emmy, becoming the first black actor to be awarded this award.

Cosby received a bachelor's degree from Temple and long served as a public face and fundraiser for the school.

Facebook has since deleted Missanian's account. - with files from Nicole Thompson and Daniela Germano. One man killed was a Jordanian man, Munir Abdu Habib Al-Najjar, according to Jordanian media reports .

The verdict ends years of controversy for the star of the enormously popular comedy series, The Cosby Show, after dozens of women made similar allegations.

The spokespeople appeared on ABC's Good Morning America on Friday where they likened Cosby's trial to the 1955 lynching of Emmett Till, the black teenager who was killed after being wrongly accused of whistling at a white woman in a MS grocery store. He strongly denied the allegations, and accused the women of making up the stories.

In an effort to prevent Cosby's feet from ever reaching the Norristown pavement, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele petitioned but failed to have Judge Steven T. O'Neal, the presiding judge in both Cosby's original trial last June and his retrial, imprison Cosby, setting the stage for the appeal process to begin.

Many on social media applauded the #MeToo movement as a factor in propelling this case, involving a high profile figure, to the point of conviction. His lawyers said he would appeal.

During his trial, Cosby's lawyers had tried to arouse sympathy for him, saying he was "nearly blind".

Five of them testified at his retrial. "They went to no authorities", Wyatt said. "I thank the prosecution", she added.

Former federal prosecutor David Axelrod, now in private practice in Philadelphia, also said Cosby's team has a shot at convincing an appeals court that the judge went too far.

"We are vindicated. We are validated, and we are now part of the tsunami of women's power and justice".

"We are so happy that, finally, we can say women are believed". Since Cosby now has several homes across different states, the Judge stated that Cosby has to be fitted with a Global Positioning System tracker if he wants to leave the state.

Lawyers not connected with the case said the defense has a strong argument. "The fight is not over", attorney Tom Mesereau said after the verdict. And the #metoo movement, exploding as it has worldwide in the months between Cosby's two trials, was not an irrelevance, but a crucial factor in those unanimous guilty decisions.
