Rescue worker Sani Kakale said: "In my presence, 42 dead bodies were taken to hospital and 68 injured".

Abdullahi Labaran added: "We left 73 freshly dug graves where each victim was buried".

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, though locals have blamed the Boko Haram.

In recent months, Boko Haram activity has been concentrated in the far north of Adamawa state, around Madagali, near the border with Borno state.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has been in the United States this week and met his USA counterpart Donald Trump, who pledged more support in the fight against Boko Haram.

The Nigerian government had said since December 2015 that Boko Haram has been defeated.

More recently on Thursday, the jihadist group carried out an attack in Maiduguri, capital of neighboring Borno state, that killed four people.

Derrius Guice's stunning fall in the draft
General manager Bob Quinn did not get into specifics except to say that for some teams there were some questions about Guice. Guice does have durability concerns, which could have contributed to him not being drafted higher.

Trump indicated a further order for attack helicopters was also in the pipeline.

"How they think in terms of combat, in my opinion, is still thinking of things as conventional warfare", Lieutenant-Colonel Sean McClure, the USA defense attaché in Abuja, told AFP last month.

Sajoh said the blast occurred in Kasuwan Gwanjo (second hand clothes market) and a mosque within the market.

One suicide bomber blew himself up in the mosque, and the second a few minutes later gathered at the scene of the attack the crowd.

The attacks targeted a mosque and a market in Mubi and blame has been pointed to the Boko Haram extremist group.

The blast was coming after the one that occurred in a Mosque in November in Mubi previous year that claimed about 50 lives. Fifty people died in an explosion at a mosque in the town in November.
