Karnataka : Modi left door open with JD(S)

The chief minister also jumped to the rescue of Congress national president Rahul Gandhi when Modi challenged the former to speak for 15 minutes on the achievements of the state government "without reading from a paper".

"Field Marshal KM Cariappa and General Thimayya are renowned around the world for their strategic brilliance and leadership but it is well known how the Congress showed its apathy towards the two", said the PM in the first of his three rallies scheduled for today in the state. The people of the State never accepted the risky RSS ideology.

Rejecting the Congress claim that it was a champion of Dalit causes, Modi referred to "atrocity" on a Dalit girl in Karnataka's Bidar. While the Congress is trying desperately hold on to power in the southern state, the BJP is out to oust the party. "They kept on asking proof of the strikes from me".

PM Modi will deliver his address in a public meeting at Navodaya Vidyala Ground, Kalaburagi at 12:30 pm, followed by another public meeting at Ballari District Stadium at 3:00 pm.

The battle for the Karnataka Assembly is being fought as much in the cities and villages of the state as on social media. "This election is not only for changing the Congress govt. but for changing the fate of youth, women and farmers of Karnataka", PM Modi added. "This is typically how Congress does their politics", he said. Development, fast-paced development and all round development is the agenda of PM Modi and people of Karnataka.

Armenian opposition block nominates Prime Minister

"No MSP+50%, for Karnataka farmers. It is clear that the BJP and the JDS are working out an alliance", the Congress veteran said. "But, Congress' formula to win Karnataka elections is divide and rule".

"The farm distress in K'taka is real & severe".

After the strikes, one Congress leader had called Army chief General Bipin Rawat a "gunda [thug]", Modi alleged.

Joining issue with Congress President Rahul Gandhi, BJP spokesman Sambit Patra on Thursday said while Cambridge Analytica has closed its "shop" the Congress party should not bank on erroneous and fraudulent data.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi gave an "F" grade report card to the Modi government on the "subject" of agriculture in poll-bound Karnataka.
