Israel Setting Up Barrier to Prevent Gazan Infiltration by Sea

A fire caused by incendiary kites from Gaza burns near Kibbutz Kissufim

At least 119 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip since mass protests and clashes broke out on March 30, according to figures from the Gazan health ministry.

On Saturday morning, Israeli soldiers spotted four Palestinians who crossed the security fence into Israel from the southern Gaza Strip, the Times of Israel reported.

The deceased were identified as 25-year-old Hussein al-Amour and 28-year-old Abdul Haleem al-Naqa, the Palestinian health ministry said.

According to the Islamic Jihad group, two men were part of their armed wing, called the al-Quds Brigades. "In response, an IDF tank targeted a military observation post in the southern Gaza Strip".

People in the besieged Gaza Strip plan to break through the Israeli-imposed sea blockade on the impoverished sliver, while Tel Aviv tries to erect a sea barrier to bar desperate Gazans from breaching the decade-long siege.

Leaders of Hamas, the Islamic militant group that rules Gaza, visited protest tents near the border and vowed to continue the weekly rallies they're leading. The bomb was detonated by army engineers, causing no casualties, the military said on Twitter.

James turned the ball over six times and couldn't finish easily at the rim like he has at other times this postseason. In Game 4 of the Cleveland series, Tatum moved ahead of Jerry West (275 points) on the rookie postseason-points list.

Israel already maintains a naval blockade on the Gaza Strip.

"The IDF and the security forces are working around the clock to defend the State of Israel, to protect the citizens of Israel and to defend the borders of Israel", the prime minister concluded.

The soldiers arrived at the scene moments later and opened fire at the individuals, who in turn fled back to the Palestinian side of the fence, the Times said.

At least 116 civilians have been allegedly killed by the fire of Israel Defence Forces fire and over 13,000 wounded since the "Great March of Return" began.

The Israeli military aggression killed almost 2,200 Palestinians and injured over 11,100 others.

Israel has blunted the military capabilities of Hamas with a series of counter-measures: the Iron Dome air defense system against short-range rockets and a system for detecting and destroying cross-border guerrilla tunnels.
