Apple’s new ‘Memoji’ lets you create your own personalized Animoji

As part of the update Apple is also making it harder for advertisers to fingerprint devices - another way of tracking people across the web. They'll work the same way as they do on your iPhone and iPad, taking advantage of the familiarity.

Siri has gotten a major upgrade.

The Digital Health suite in iOS 12 will allegedly be bundled into a menu inside of the Settings app. In addition, the new OS comes with a brand-new file format for 3D graphics called USDZ.

Seeing as how the tech-giant is expected to unveil a trio of new iPhone models this fall featuring Face ID and TrueDepth camera systems, it would've only seemed appropriate for Apple to also update Animoji - its burgeoning 3D facial imaging and emoticon-avatar generating platform.

The new search functionality will use image recognition to find or group photos by recognising events, actions, and genres. If you go over your own limit, iOS 12 will pop up a reminder and block the app, though you can grant yourself an extension.

The new iOS 12 software that powers the iPhone and iPad was revealed during the company's annual developers conference. For example, you can build a shortcut that'll bring up your Kayak travel plans when you say "Travel plans" to Siri. It's all about helping you beat your tech addiction. Siri Suggestions then uses those shortcuts to suggest to you something you might have forgotten like ordering your morning coffee, in case you didn't do that on Monday morning. It also integrates with iMessage, so you can invite others in a group to join your call right from iMessage. It also highlighted how some developers, such as Lego, are incorporating the trendy technology into apps. For instance, the News app is updated with new Browse section, where you can browse by different topics.

Augmented reality apps using Apple's new AR Kit 2 software let multiple people play games or enjoy experiences simultaneously. It will now have support for audio books. This means you can finally use Google Maps, Waze and other apps on your dashboard screen when your iPhone is connected in the auto. Users are able to set parameters for when the bedtime mode starts and ends in the control center.

There's also a new Instant Tuning feature in notifications on the lock screen that will let you stop specific apps from displaying notifications on the lock screen.

The company has revamped their Do Not Disturb and Notification features and introduced new App Limits and an activity summary that will be sent out weekly.

Yesterday Apple announced iOS 12 and eager users are already combing through the beta to see all the features Apple talked about and many they didn't mention.

These are all developed to help reduce users screen time. Many Apple iPhone X users have been complaining that Face ID's single face support is limiting. There is also an update for the Animojis called Memojis. Finally, if you're trying to get into shape watchOS can help with that too.
