LeBron James went off the backboard to himself in Game 3

NBA Finals The Cavs will be aiming to tie the series against the Warriors

Cleveland Cavaliers star James, who has previously criticised Trump, has made it clear that the winners of the NBA Finals won't be attending the White House, either.

Well, LeBron James caught wind of the whole controversy, and once again pulled now punches when discussing Trump, revealing that the NBA champion would be skipping the ceremony again, no matter who wins the NBA Finals.

"For me, tonight will be tough", LeBron James admitted after Wednesday's loss.

'I always believe the role players play much better at home than they do on the road, ' James told reporters in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Golden State has won on Cleveland's court, including Game 3 past year, or closing them out to win a title in 2015's Game 6.

Just two years ago, Golden State were in the same position: up 2-0 in the finals after crushing victories over the Cavs. "And if we can do that, guys can look in the mirror and live with themselves". Game 3 of this series will probably be remembered by how the Cavaliers, even with Curry missing 13 of his first 14 shots, dominated stretches of the first half and went into the locker room only up by six.

Warriors beat Cavs to close in on second straight title
LeBron James scored 33 points and Kevin Love 20 for the Cavs, who have fallen into a hole in which no team has ever emerged. The next two days will be angst-laden for Cleveland, though hardly anyone should be fretting the outcome of this series .

"I'm optimistic Andre will play at some point in the series", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said on Sunday. "We'll just have to see".

We'll get into the "why" and "how" later, but first, the "what". Are we in for a repeat of 2017, when the Cavaliers came home down 0-2 to the Warriors, got 39 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists from LeBron James, and still lost to go down in an insurmountable 0-3 hole?

His 17 attempts from three-point range were more shots than any of his teammates took in Game 2 and more shots than he has averaged during the regular season. "Because I think the championship - winning a Super Bowl or winning a Stanley Cup or winning a World Series or winning an NBA championship or national championship - is way bigger than getting invited to the White House, especially with him in there, in my opinion".

The Minnesota Lynx were not invited to the White House after their WNBA championship.

Trump, who has equated the protest with disrespect of flag and nation, said last September that any protesting "son of a bitch" should be fired and added recently "maybe you shouldn't be in the country". They play best when they are doubted. I don't feel good - how I feel right now. Thompson's last attempt from James came in the third quarter. "He's one of the best one-on-one players in our league".
