The police in New Delhi are trying to ascertain if the deaths were by suicide or murder

A tragic incident has shocked Delhi again, where 11 members of same family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Burari area.

Ten bodies were found blind-folded and hanging in the house, while the body of a 75-year-old woman was found on the floor, the police told PTI. The local residents of the area reported the matter to police and investigation is underway. According to initial reports, all of them were from the same family.

The Delhi Police have rushed to the spot and the probe has been initiated.

"Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found".

"Their shop would open by 6am every morning but when it did not till 7.30am today, a neighbour went to check and later informed the police after finding a lot of them hanging from the grill ceiling", the officer said, adding a probe is underway.

Police officials are reportedly gathering details about the family members from the neighbours and are also calling the relatives of the deceased. A neighbour in the Burari district found the victims early on Sunday, police said.
