Chris Paul tweeted that he has "unfinished business" in Houston.

The deal will keep the Rockets' starting backcourt of Paul and reigning Most Valuable Player James Harden signed through the 2022-23 season. But, in a blow for the team, news did break later in the evening that versatile forward Trevor Ariza would be moving on to sign a one-year $15 million deal with the Suns. In the playoffs 33-year-old point guard were given as 21.1 points and 5.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists. Paul missed least 20 games in each of the past two seasons due to different injuries. It shipped Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, and a first-round pick to the Clippers for the veteran point guard.

The Rockets also ended Paul's pursuit of a conference finals appearance.

Paul is a nine-time All-Star, nine-time All-NBA team member, and took home the 2005-06 Rookie of the Year honors as a member of the New Orleans Hornets. GERALD GREEN STAYS HOME Gerald Green and his hometown Rockets are staying together. Capela also scheduled a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a TNT report. There was thought a max deal would be tough to hand out given the team's cap restrictions, and the pending move for Clint Capela, but GM Daryl Morey's first order of books is reportedly now in the books.

Capela earned just $2.3 million last season, which was a bargain for Houston, given the numbers and value they got from him.
