Someone's just won $522,000,000 on the U.S. Mega Millions lottery

Someone in San Jose matched all the numbers in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot numbers added up to $522 million for a lucky victor in the San Jose area, the California Lottery said Wednesday morning.

The estimated jackpot prize amount has been revised based on final sales totals and is now worth an $543 million, up from an estimated $522 million.

The winning numbers were 01-02-04-19-29.

Someone has become $522 million dollars richer after purchasing the winning Mega Millions ticket in California. Since that day, more than 14 million winning tickets have been sold. Two, sold in MA and Texas, included the optional Megaplier (a $1 purchase available in most states) and are worth $3 million each.

The U.S.is also in the middle of a trade dispute with China and is threatening to impose new tariffs on the European auto sector. Trump is tweeting that trade partners need to either negotiate a "fair deal, or it gets hit with Tariffs".

The California Lottery says one lucky person won the Mega Millions lottery.

However, you should still check your tickets to see if you won a smaller prize.

According to the Mega Millions website, more than 14 million prizes have been issued since the last jackpot victor on May 4th of this year. Earlier this year, two other Mega Millions winners made history, with a $451 million jackpot awarded in January and a $533 million jackpot awarded in April.

The jackpot will now be reset to $40 million for the next drawing, which will be held on July 27.
