President Trump traveled to Tampa on Tuesday for a rally in support of two Florida Republicans running for office, but for more than an hour, he talked about a wide-range of other issues, including tariffs, polls, and the USA embassy in Jerusalem.

The president's comments saw him branded out of touch on Twitter, with one user called Gayla writing: 'You need an ID to buy groceries?

Photo IDs are required for certain purchases, such as alcohol, cigarettes or cold medicine.

The station says the rally was meant to back two Florida Republicans before primary elections.

The president blasted Mr. Nelson as someone who voted against tax cuts and "puts criminal aliens before American citizens".

He also advocated for requiring voters to present photo identification, even though Florida already has such a law on the books. He says, "The time has come for voter ID like everything else".
