Elon Musk reignites Twitter slur controversy

Elon Musk renews 'pedo' controversy, asks if it's 'strange' the British diver hasn't sued

When Amy Nelson read The New York Times' recent interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk - in which, The Times said, "he alternated between laughter and tears" in describing "the most hard and painful year of my career" - her first thought was, "I would never cry in front of a journalist as a female CEO".

"You don't think it's odd he hasn't sued me?" And you call yourself @yoda ...

Musk started 17 days of drama when he tweeted on August 7 that he had "funding secured" to take Tesla private, without sharing evidence that investor money was indeed lined up.

Mr Musk's younger brother - who is a board member of Tesla - defended his sibling's behaviour in a recent interview with the New York Times.

A Tesla representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CNN.

"I think sometimes people think I spend a lot of time in Twitter", he told the YouTuber Marques Brownlee earlier this month. "He was offered free legal services". "He was offered free legal services".

Musk then asked Olanoff why he hadn't investigated the matter.

Legendary Broadway Playwright Neil Simon Dies at 91
On Twitter, many remembered the writer as a craftsman of American lore, one that shaped the world of theater for the better. In 1983 he gained the rare accolade of having a NY stage, the Neil Simon Theatre, named in his honour.

"And hey. sue you, he still might. or anyone else that you've whack-a-moled without thinking twice about", the user tweeted.

"As this well-written article suggests, my words were spoken in anger after Mr Unsworth said several untruths and suggested I engage in a sexual act with the mini-sub, which had been built as an act of kindness and according to specifications from the dive team leader", he tweeted.

Mr Musk also sought to lend a hand and travelled to the cave with a mini-submarine he said the boys could use to escape.

L. Lin Wood, a lawyer retained by the British diver Vernon Unsworth, whom Elon Musk called a "pedo," is "preparing a civil complaint for libel" against Musk, BuzzFeed first reported.

His return to Twitter, coming just days after abandoning a plan of taking Tesla private, is likely to renew concerns about the entrepreneur's impulsiveness. "You did so without any basis".

"He's not going to become a typical CEO, so the question is whether he's going to make statements that run afoul of securities laws", said Ken Bertsch, an executive director at the Council of Institutional Investors, a trade group that represents public pension funds that own Tesla shares.

"Your dedication to facts and truth would have been wonderful if applied to that time when you called someone a pedo", posted Drew Olanoff.
