Jim Mattis Calls Woodward Book 'Fiction': 'Product of Someone's Rich Imagination'

New Inside Book: Trump is Ignorant, White House Dysfunctional

If there's one thing people have come to expect from a book by Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, it's some stunning new revelation about the inner workings of a us administration-something that typically sets the town buzzing for days.

Reportedly alarmed by Trump's volatile combination of ignorance and impulsiveness, Woodward reports that top White House aides devised a strategy of stealing documents from the president's desk so he wouldn't see or sign them.

Mr Trump dismissed the publication last night as "just another bad book" and "nasty stuff".

"He's an idiot", Chief of Staff John Kelly said about the president another time, Woodward writes.

At one point during the call, Trump put Conway on the phone, who admits that she "put in" Woodward's request but it was rejected. Mattis had to, painfully, tell him that the effort was "intended to prevent World War III".

Mr Trump is quoted as saying: "Let's f***ing kill him!"

"I have the pleasure of being privy to those conversations. and I have not once heard the president talk about assassinating Assad", Ms Haley told reporters on Tuesday. After all, his investigations with Washington Post colleague Carl Bernstein helped bring down Richard Nixon and he has written books on many leaders, including George W Bush and Barack Obama. The Washington Post published excerpts earlier Tuesday.

The book says the US President's former economic adviser, Gary Cohn, removed a letter about a trade agreement with South Korea because he thought it was a threat to national security.

Woodward's reporting is drawn from hundreds of hours of interviews with people with firsthand knowledge of the events he describes and quotes he includes are backed up by documentation he reviewed.

Roger Federer stunned at US Open by unseeded Australian
"The one thing I can control is the fight in me..." If anyone else is doing those shots against me, I'm probably not too happy. But Keys struck once more with a flurry of winners at 3-3, overpowering Cibulkova in that game to reclaim her break advantage.

"Fear: Trump in the White House" goes on sale September 11, 2018. The national security team developed options for the more conventional airstrike that Trump ultimately ordered. "It's just made up", he told the Daily Caller.

While both sides will still dive deep into the most important challenges confronting them - China, India's missile deal with Russia, Iran oil and bilateral trade - both sides know that something has changed. We're in Crazytown. I don't even know why any of us are here.

But Trump also criticized Sessions for his Southern accent, reportedly mocking it and saying of his own administration's attorney general: "This guy is mentally retarded". "I said NEITHER, never used those terms on anyone, including Jeff, and being a southerner is a GREAT thing. He made this up to divide!", Mr Trump said in the Tweet.

Kelly says, "The idea I ever called the president an idiot is not true".

John Dowd, who was the main outside lawyer representing Trump in Mueller's Russian Federation probe, reportedly told the special counsel in March that he wanted to stop Trump from testifying in the Russian Federation probe because "I'm not going to sit there and let him look like an idiot".

Woodward claims that Trump once asked Mattis why the US backs South Korea militarily and financially, prompting the defense secretary to tell close associates afterward that Trump had the understanding of a fifth or sixth grader. "Secretaries of defense don't always get to choose the president they work for", Mattis allegedly said in another instance.

Dowd then explained to Mueller and Quarles why he was trying to keep the president from testifying: "I'm not going to sit there and let him look like an idiot".

Trump says he "probably would have preferred to speak to (Woodward), but maybe not. This is the worst job I've ever had".

Cohn later told an associate that Trump never noticed the letter was missing. "It's either that or an orange jumpsuit".
