Seahawks safety Earl Thomas ends holdout ahead of Week 1

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. on the sideline of their final preseason game against the Oakland Raiders

After a regular season game between the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys in 2017, Earl Thomas made a point to run after Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett to tell him - and the Cowboys in general - to come and get him over the course of the offseason.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport said Wednesday that Thomas will play out the final year of his deal in Seattle and that the Seahawks agreed to wipe out nearly all of his fines for not showing up to training camp.

As a result, Thomas will play out the final year of his contract with the Seahawks.

For months, Thomas lived in a world where workout videos posted to his Instagram account - where he announced the end of his holdout - served as practice footage.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier Wednesday that the Dallas Cowboys increased their trade offer for Thomas to a second-round pick over the past week, but that the Seahawks are seeking more than that in return. During the off-season would you have traded a second and third rounder for Thomas?

Trump attacks Sessions, suggests DOJ hurt GOP in midterms
Fox News has reached out to the White House for additional clarification, and the Justice Department did not immediately respond. Mr Trump suggested Mr Sessions could lose his job in July a year ago when he said "time will tell" what happens to him.

The safety posted an Instagram message Wednesday morning, expressing his frustration with the negotiation process.

Seattle opens the season on Sunday at Denver.

Thomas was adamant in receiving a contract extension or to be traded by the Seahawks, and if neither happened, he wouldn't report to the team. With that being said, the disrespect has been well noted and will not be forgotten.

Wednesday's news of Thomas reporting to his current team might well lead to both sides considering it a stalemate.

Xavier Woods is expected to miss the season opener against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury.
