Anthony Joshua Remains Undefeated, Lays Waste To Alexander Povetkin

Anthony Joshua delivered a stunning finish to stop a game Alexander Povetkin and retain his world heavyweight titles at Wembley Stadium. Anthony recovers back in the middle frames.

Joshua called out Deontay Wilder in the ring after knocking out Alexander Povetkin, while Whyte worked for Sky Sports' coverage.

If boxing fans could have their way, Joshua's unification fight with Wilder would've already happened late previous year or at worst in the first half of 2018.

Joshua finished Povetkin in the 7th round from the Wembley Stadium in London, England.

He added: 'I don't know this is boxing it's a amusing thing - he may need surgery after what happened to his nose.

A previously close contest turned in Joshua's favour decisively when he sent the Russian crashing to the canvas with a straight right hand and left hook.

Joshua, 28, originally from Watford but now living in north London and training in Sheffield, was more composed in the fourth round and his work left Povetkin cut above his left eye.

Klitschko was the only man to have previously inflicted a blemish on Povetkin's now 36-fight record, with a points win back in 2013.

Duchess of Sussex Hosts Kensington Palace Party for Charity Cookbook
Prince Harry looked to have been caught sneaking some samosas home today as he supported Meghan at a charity cookbook event. The Duchess of Sussex stood behind a tabletop grill and helped cook while her mother and husband watched on proudly.

"It would certainly be the biggest fight in British boxing, we know that because we just had the biggest fight in British boxing with the (Wladimir) Klitschko fight (April 2017)".

"But good luck to both of them and may the champion bring himself to the United Kingdom, let's have a good dust-up".

"Dillian deserves it more than Fury because he's been consistent and Wilder because he's the champion".

Friday's weigh-in also confirmed a significant size difference, with Joshua tipping the scales at 17 stone 8 pounds (111.5 kilogrammes) compared to Povetkin's 15st 12lbs.

Not only did he keep his composure after almost having his nose broken in the opening around against Takam, Joshua avoided getting rattled after blood began to pour from it in the opening round on Saturday against Povetkin.

Povetkin again rocked Joshua with a short left hook in the third round, after he had landed a big overhand right, and the champion looked nervous.

"All I want to fight is serious challengers". Yet even though all three current champions have their obvious flaws - from Wilder's raw technique to Fury's weight, inactivity and mental state - it's Joshua who seems to absorb the most criticism.

"Hopefully, it's me next, I'm here and ready to fight".
