Actress Tanushree Dutta names actor who allegedly sexually harassed her

Tanushree Dutta Names Nana Patekar As Alleged Harasser 10 Years Ago Says'Everyone Knew Did Nothing

The actress accused veteran Bollywood star Nana Patekar saying that during the filming of her 2008 film Horn Ok Please, she was pushed and intimidated by Nana Patekar on the sets. Not just Nana Patekar but Tanushree Dutta also alleges that many big actors and filmmakers in the industry are like that, however, no one dares to speak about them because of fear of losing their opportunities. "There is a façade around the Bollywood industry". And the producers called up the media to gain publicity from the whole situation.

After actresses like Radhika Apte, Richa Chadda, Swara Bhasker, and Konkona Sen Sharma showed some support, now here is another actress who shared what happened with her. "If an actress doesn't give what he wants, then she won't get the film" is what Tanushree said.

Speaking to Zoom TV, Dutta alleged that Patekar would trouble her on the set and asked to be included as part of an "intimate step" in what was supposed to be Dutta's solo dance number.

Tanushree went on to say that she had complained about it to the producer director, but nobody paid attention. She told the publication that she had brought up allegations of sexual harassment in the industry way before Hollywood took on the issue a year ago through the Me Too movement, but no one had paid heed to her.

People know about Nana Patekar's behaviour towards women, Tanushree says, but have not spoken up about it and have been complicit, Tanushree said. That he beats and assaults them is known to all but because of his PR nobody raises voice against him and everything is washed away in stream of gossips. The actress claimed that she was assaulted by Nana Patekar.

New Kavanaugh accusation raises 'doubt' on eve of hearing
Ford claims that in 1982, when the two were in high school , a drunken Kavanaugh pinned her down at a party and tried to rape her. Ford claims the assault ended with Kavanaugh's friend jumping on the two, allowing her to escape to a bathrooom.

"Ganesh Acharya rolls out songs every year with top stars, Nana has worked with stars like Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth and the producer and director have continued to work".

She pointed out that while it is people like Nana Patekar who are problematic, assumptions are made about people like her - since she is a heroine who does glamorous roles and photoshoots, she would be "easy" as well.

She also said that #metoo movement would not reach India until everybody acknowledged what had happened to her.

"These film actors in our country know the technology of how to package and present themselves so they come across as saintly and people don't know what is happening behind their back".
