Trump touted his America First foreign policy and defended actions under this belief.

The accusation came during an address in which the American leader once again rebuked global norms and order, and defended his decision to pull the U.S. from the Iran nuclear agreement, which had been pushed for and signed by former President Barack Obama.

Trump, who has long claimed that his predecessors' weak leadership prompted other nations "to laugh" at the United States. appeared flustered and responded, "I didn't expect that reaction, but that's OK".

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US considers Iran the leading state sponsor of terrorism.

"Ultimately, the only long-term solution to the migration crisis is to help people build more hopeful futures in their home countries", Trump said.

He added that Trump not only disagreed with that resolution but said whoever implements it "will be punished".

"Iran's leaders sow chaos, death and destruction", Trump told the gathering in the green-marbled hall.

Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger Has Been Fired

Both Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron said they were committed to the deal but said there were deep concerns about Iran's ballistic missile program and exporting of that technology to its proxies in Lebanon and Yemen.

As for war, Rouhani said, "We do not wish to go to war with American forces anywhere in the region".

That attack on Iran has been claimed by Arab separatists and Isis, and Iranian officials themselves have blamed the United States and Gulf countries for the attack. "We do not wish to increase tensions anywhere". "They do not respect their neighbors or borders or the sovereign rights of nations". Heading into the council meeting, Sweden's Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom said European Union governments will "stand up" for the nuclear deal and suggested the USA approach would fail. The next round of sanctions are to take effect in early November.

Iran has not requested to speak at the council meeting, diplomats confirmed Tuesday although Rouhani will hold a press conference soon after it is due to end.

He complained that the United States "has spared no effort" to exert pressure on Iran's oil sales and banking relationships, and there is not much left for the Trump administration to do.

The Iran nuclear deal "remains the best means of preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, and we are committed to preserving" the accord "as long as Iran continues to abide by its obligations in full".

Pompeo criticized the European Union's intention to establish a work-around to USA sanctions, while Bolton warned of "hell to pay" if Iran continued aggravating other nations. People had a good time with me.
