India fired at PoK PM’s chopper that violated Indian airspace Reports

All those onboard remained unhurt luckily.

"It could likely to be a civil chopper and was flying very high".

Khan, the Kashmir leader, said his helicopter was not armed in any way, and called for calm heads.

It is mandatory for Pakistan and India to inform each other beforehand about the movement of military aircraft but that procedure is not a prerequisite for the movement of civilian helicopters.

The copter immediately retreated after the intrusion of airspace was retaliated by the Indian Army.

Officials said a white helicopter crossed into the Indian airspace in Gulpur sector and hovered over there for sometime before turning back.

PM Haider strongly rejected this assertion.

Three forward posts fired small arms after noticing the airspace violation, the sources said.

Spokesperson for the Indian army, Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, said the helicopter violated Indian air space along the LoC in Poonch around 12PM local time (06:30 GMT).

Reports said Pakistan has admitted that pilot of the chopper was at fault as he deviated from the prescribed route on the LoC, resulting into violation of Indian airspace.

Daniel Sturridge sends message to Liverpool fans and Chelsea
Earlier this month, the 29-year-old found the back of the net in Liverpool's Champions League win against Paris St-Germain. Both sides were back to full strength after Sarri and Klopp made eight changes for the League Cup between the pair.

"Air sentries at forward location had engaged it with small arms", he said. The chopper wasn't hit, he added.

The Indian forces opened fire on the helicopter of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider while it was flying atop Pakistan's airspace near the Line of Control on Sunday.

A video of the same was also released and widely circulated on social media platforms.

India has accused Pakistan of continuing to assist militants waging an insurgency in the Indian-controlled side of Kashmir, something which Pakistan denies, and planned talks between high-ranking officials at the United Nations meeting in NY this month were canceled.

New Delhi has long accused Islamabad of supporting rebel groups in Kashmir, who either want independence or a merger with Pakistan.

Qureshi reiterated Pakistan's principled stance of continuing to extend diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for right to self determination.

Reports said the chopper carrying the PoK "Prime Minister" later landed at Kahuta in PoK.

"It has now been decided that our soldiers will give a befitting reply to whosoever makes an attempt to destroy the atmosphere of peace and progress in our nation", he said, without naming Islamabad.

Talking to Dawn, PM Haider said the incident took place at around 12:10pm.
