NYT's Latest Hit Piece: Kavanaugh Allegedly Threw Ice on Someone in College

Liz Swisher a former Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh alleges he lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee

Charles Ludington, a Yale classmate of SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh who spent time drinking with the judge, released a statement on Sunday night to the press, accusing Kavanaugh of lying under oath about his drinking.

That's the tale told in the September, 1985 New Haven, Conn. police report unearthed Monday by The New York Times and confirmed by other media outlets. By his account, the two of them and one other friend had retired after the UB40 show in '85 to a bar called Demery's, where they noticed a man they thought resembled Ali Campbell, the group's lead singer, and chose to approach him.

The New York Times has a major scoop on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh...he once allegedly threw ice on someone at a bar.

His statement contradicts another Yale classmate - former National Basketball Association player Chris Dudley - who told The Washington Post he "never, ever saw Brett Kavanaugh black out" from alcohol consumption. According to the report, Dudley denied the accusation and Kavanaugh did not say if he threw the ice or not. Kavanaugh mistakenly believed one of the bar's patrons was UB40 singer Ali Campbell; after the patron asked Kavanaugh and his friends to stop looking at him, Kavanaugh allegedly threw a beer at him. Ford alleges Kavanaugh pinned her down, groped her, and tried to remove her clothes. For his part, Kavanaugh never admitted to having a problem with his drinking.

"If I were doing the interview, I would want to get as many specifics as I could", Stuber said.

Kavanaugh repeatedly admitted drinking beer during his committee testimony, pushing back against some members' questions about just how much he drank.

Daniel Sturridge sends message to Liverpool fans and Chelsea
Earlier this month, the 29-year-old found the back of the net in Liverpool's Champions League win against Paris St-Germain. Both sides were back to full strength after Sarri and Klopp made eight changes for the League Cup between the pair.

The police report referred to the altercation as "an assault", according to the Times.

The incident was recounted by Chad Ludington, another classmate of Kavanaugh's who has been in contact with the Federal Bureau of Investigation amid a supplemental background check on Kavanaugh following allegations of sexual misconduct by several women.

Deborah Ramirez attended Yale at the same time as Judge Kavanaugh.

If his Supreme Court nomination fight is like a barroom brawl, then Brett Kavanaugh is well-prepared. On Friday, President Trump ordered the FBI to reopen the background investigation of Kavanaugh.

This ordinarily would fall into the case of nothingburger - who cares about a college bar fight over 30 years later? - except that it will call into question whether Kavanaugh has been truthful when he has said that he was not belligerent under the influence of alcohol.

In last week's hearing, Ms Blasey Ford said Mr Judge witnessed Mr Kavanaugh's alleged assault and jumped on top of them as it happened, sending all three tumbling and allowing her to escape.
