Apple fixes iPhone XS charging problems (and more) in iOS 12.0.1

Everyone wants the big iPhone

Apart from that, the update also fixes a couple of other issues, including a Wi-Fi issue where the iPhone XS would apparently connect to 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz band when rejoining. Users who were experiencing shoddy Wi-Fi speeds should see that issue addressed as their devices will now opt for the faster 5GHz network.

Fixes an issue where some iPhone XS devices do not immediately charge when connected to a Lightning cable.

Apple is also using iOS 12.1 to unlock the new Depth Control feature that allows a user to change the depth-of-field on an image before it has actually been taken.

Apple has released iOS 12.0.1 today, exterminating some nasty, ugly bugs that might have kept you from fully enjoying your brand new Apple iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.

They also said the two sides agreed to hold a second round of negotiations between the USA and North Korea as early as possible. The secretary of state's previous trip to North Korea, in July, did not go so well. "Timing won't be too far away", he said.

What's inside iOS 12.1?

Apple iPad users will notice that the "123" number key on the tablet's virtual QWERTY keyboard is back at its pre-iOS 12 location.

The early unofficial statistics show that Apple has managed to capture the attention of device owners as far as iOS 12 is concerned. Finally, the update fixes an issue where Bluetooth can become unavailable.

It's worth noting that most of these bugs have been fixed in beta versions of iOS 12.1, though Apple has made a decision to squash them with a public release instead of waiting for that OS update to drop.

To grab the latest updates, head to your devices settings menu, tap General, and then select Software Update.
